1. I love to scrapbook. I wish I could do it more. I just went to Memphis and St. Louis for a vacation this month and I am planning on doing a scrapbook on my vacation.
2. Every time I take a vacation I write a journal in one of those cute journal books about all what I did and what I ate while there. After I am done, I type it up and put it on my online blog/website and print it for my scrapbook.
3. I have another hobby of taking pictures of classic cars. I have web galleries of many albums of cars I have taken.
4. Pandas have always been my favorite animals. I had seen them for the first time in August 2005 at the Memphis Zoo and then again in March 2007 and again in November 2008. After November 15, 2008 at the Memphis Zoo, I saw Polar bears close up for this first time. They are my new favorite. I walked up to the window of their habitat, looked closely at the window, and all of the sudden I was nose to nose with a polar bear who was swimming. It was the most amazing thing ever. I stood there for a while and got pictures of them.
5. On November 10, 2008, I finally got to see New Kids on The Block, who I have always wanted to see ever since I was 16. Since they were so big, I was never able to see them back in the day. While on vacation in Memphis, Dad drove me about 4 hours up to St. Louis to see them at Scottrade Center. I was in 13th row.
6. I love seeing my nephew. He is just awesome. He turned 2 in October and loves new things. He loves being read to. He gets read to everyday before his nap and at bedtime. Before he turned 2, he was able to recognize his letters and numbers. This past Saturday he said his first sentence. He already has his Christmas present which is a wooden train table by Imaginarium from Toys R Us for his Thomas the Train sets he got for his birhday.
7. My favorite place to visit is Memphis. In August 2005, I went for the first time for a week all by myself. I saw Graceland, Sun Studios, Beale Street, the Peabody Ducks, Memphis Zoo, Memphis riverboats etc. In March 2007, I went with my sister, my nephew, and her husband. We drove down for a long weekend. We saw Memphis Zoo, Peabody Ducks, and Beale Street. And finally, November 9-16, 2008, I went to Memphis for a week by myself and saw Graceland, Sun Studios, Beale Street, the Peabody Ducks, Memphis Zoo and Gibson Guitar factory. I also spent overnight in St. Louis for that New Kids concert but the next day we went to see the Arch. It was amazing.
8. I have 2 cats named Gracie and Isabelle. Mom gave them middle names too. Gracie is Grace Elizabeth and Isabelle is Isabelle Rose.
9. My grandma moved to Florida many years ago. We didn't want to be without her homemade Thanksgiving dinner so every year we make own dinner using her receipes. This year is the first year we will not be making her traditional Thanksgiving dinner since my sister will be in Cleveland but we will be making her dinner at Christmas. Bascially, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners are the same just the main course is different. Every Thanksgiving we have turkey and every Christmas we have ham.
10. Learn and Play was a lot of fun. I loved helping my co workers with the 23 things. I noticed how good I was with technolgy. Maybe I should pursue a career in that someday. If not, it is always fun to use technology to have fun with your hobbies.

I loved Learn and Play :)
This program has been really great. I learned a lot of things I didn’t know beforehand. Like, Twitter, my new favorite :) I also really liked del.icio.us. I like how you can access your most used web sites from any computer. Del.icio.us would have been handy when I bought my very first computer that crashed a year after I had it. They had to replace the hard drive, modem, and motherboard so I lost everything. I had a lot of favorite web sites saved under my Bookmarks folder so Del.icio.us would have been very handy to have at that time and I plan on using it regularly. I hope people enjoyed Flickr because that has been a long time favorite of mine.
I had a good time helping others with their things. Everyone was glad I was able to help them. Another good thing that came out of this program is people found out I was good with computers and they came to me for help with other things as well.
If we offered another discovery program like this in the future, would you again chose to participate?
of course :)
It was great to have this program and learn about the 23 things. This will come in handy someday if a customer would come in and ask for help with any of these areas.
I am going on vacation next week. If you are interested, check my Flickr and my Twitter for updates while I am gone. I plan on posting Tweets and pictures :) So check back next week :)
Learn and play was awesome :)

Thing 22: MOLDI
Posted by Christin at 9:57 AM
I used MOLDI to find some audio books for my nephew to listen to. Too bad we can't burn audio books onto on a cd because I am sure he would love listening to them in the car since he takes long car trips to Cleveland alot. He does have a playroom in the basement and my sister's computer is there too. So, I can have her download these and play them for my nephew.
I picked out these stories for him:
Bad Dog, Marley!
by John Grogan
Bear Snores On
by Karma Wilson
Bear Wants More

I used PodcastDirectory.com and found Forever Fifteen Free Audio Book and subscribed to it through Bloglines.
That is the only thing I have found so far. I didn't have much luck finding anything interesting with the ones listed.
I might try iTunes when I get home though.
Can you see how CML might use such technology to promote programs, events, or other things?
Podcasts would be helpful for CML to use to promote Summer Reading Club. They would be also helpful if they were used as a tutorial such as how to renew items, how to reserve items etc. We could never do Podcasts for new releases.

I have been watching videos on YouTube for awhile now. It is a great place to find videos on hard to find items. If I find a YouTube video that I like enough to keep, I found this program online where you can download videos on YouTube to your PC or Mac. It is called : KeepVid . I have downloaded videos and added them to my Macbook and both of my iPods.
Here are two videos I enjoyed from YouTube.
New Kids on the Block on Rachael Ray, part 1 :
New Kids on the Block on Rachael Ray, part 2:
You may or may not know that New Kids on the Block reunited earlier this year. They came out with a new album on September 2nd and are on their World Tour. They plan on touring through next summer :)
I have liked them since 1989 and I am very excited about the reunion. I never got see them in concert before because they were so big back then that they just kept selling out in minutes. Now, I will get my chance to see them in St. Louis, MO on November 10, 2008 :)
I chose these videos because there were fans talking about who is the biggest fan and the winner would get something. Little did they know that New Kids were on a another part of the stage listening to their every word.
Anyway, it is very cute. You can see the rest for yourself.
One thing I don't like about YouTube is that it has a time limit. So if you have a long video you have to break it up into several clips.
Like these videos for example:
NKOTB on VH1's Behind the Music, part 6
NKOTB on VH1's Behind the Music, part 7
Parts 1-5 are a documentary on New Kids that VH1 did with three live songs from their concert in Boston at the end. Parts 6 & 7 are the three live songs at the end. Someday, I would like to find 6 & 7 combined so I can put them onto my iPod to play contiuously. I would also like to have the videos combined so I can import them into iMovie to make a DVD of it.

These are so cute!
I don't have an iPhone. I would like one someday but Dad upgraded his phone with Verzion and received two free phones for my sister and I. So, I won't be getting an iPhone any time soon.
I do have an iPod Touch though which is just like the iPhone but without the phone part or the camera. You can use the internet, check your email and use google maps, if you are in a Wifi hotspot.
